      Here at Abendländer Kennels we strive to do the best we can to improve the breed of the Deutch Drahthaar. I enjoy every moment I spend out in the field training and hunting with my DD companions. I must say that they never cease to amaze me with their true versatility in any given situation. 
       Being a member of the VDD-GNA organization and working on my judge apprenticeship,  it has helped me understand the breeding philosophy and why the JGHV testing program is so very important. I would encourage all to make it a priority to run your DD through the series of tests required by the VDD-GNA organization. By doing so I can insure that you will have a hunting companion that wont only impress you but the others you hunt with as well. 
        I hope you enjoy the new web page and I look forward to meeting each one of you. The DD world is not jut a hobby for the Bailey family it is a lifestyle.
